In Q1 2024, the fast food industry's mobile presence continued to engage users on the iOS platform in the United States. According to data from Sensor Tower, we observed the performance of leading fast food and fast casual restaurants' apps in terms of downloads and weekly active users.
McDonald's saw its downloads fluctuate, starting at 228K in the first week and peaking at 265K towards the end of January. Weekly active users began at 6.1M, peaked at 6.5M, and slightly declined to 6.1M by the end of March.
Domino's Pizza USA experienced an initial increase in downloads to 176K in the second week of January, followed by a gradual decrease to 112K by late March. Weekly active users showed a peak of 2.98M mid-January but ended the quarter at around 2.87M.
Taco Bell Fast Food & Delivery downloads saw a significant jump in late January, reaching 165K, but then tapered off to 114K by the end of March. Its weekly active users maintained a steady range between 737K to 807K throughout the quarter.
